价值综述
    原为华俄道胜银行（国内首家中外合资银行），1928年归中央银行后改称中央大楼。倍高洋行[德]倍克和宾午设计，1901～1905年项茂记洋行承建，混合结构。典型的古典主义风格。
    建筑立面横纵三段式构图，是上海最早使用釉面砖贴面、电梯和卫生设备的建筑。
    内部装修考究。中央大厅贯通三层屋顶，层间爱奥尼式回廊国内稀有，屋顶的彩绘玻璃天棚起到采光和装饰的作用，由12根罗马柱头支撑，置12组浮雕图案。大厅沿廊墙壁还有多幅雕刻精美的浮雕作品，整体华丽而典雅。会议厅、议事室采用了古朴大方的木装修，大理石台阶透露一丝奢华。
    Former St. Petersburg Russo-Asiatic Bank. Designed by German architects Becker & Baedecker. Built in 1901~1905. Brick-and-concrete composite structure. Typical classical style.
    The first joint venture bank invested by China and other countries. Renamed Central Building in 1928. It is the earliest building equipped with tile facing, lifts and sanitary facilities in Shanghai.
    The most attraction including a grand glass-vault sunshade with colored paintings above the atrium, exquisite Ionic corridor between the floors, and the classical bas-reliefs on the wall. Wood and marble materials used harmoniously for fitments inside and outside the meeting room and chamber, daintily designed and constructed.

人文历史
    华俄道胜银行是沙俄和法国在旧中国设立的金融机构，总行设在俄国彼得堡，清光绪二十二年(1896)在上海设立分行，是中国第一家合资银行。光绪二十九年(1903)重建大楼。民国十七年(1928)11月，南京国民政府设立国家银行——中央银行，接管这幢大楼。
    解放后大楼改为华胜大楼，民主党派机关、机电二局、航天局等单位曾在这里租用，1994年4月起由中国外汇交易中心使用。
